I think the price drop was a terrible, what’s the purpose? If they were struggling to pay the dairy farmers they should have told supermarkets to raise the prices. When they made the terrible decision to decrease the amount of money they were giving dairy farmers the companies should have thought about what affects it would have on them. Dairy farmers need the money so they can produce milk but every day they are losing more money than they are actually getting. Hearing that some of the dairy farmers are in financial troubles annoys me and I hope that this will pass over.
I think to solve this financial problem we should be paying more than we should for milk and dairy products or buying the more expensive milk in store. This might mean prices will rise in stores so dairy farmers will be paid more. I think the minister in charge of this area in the Federal Government should create some guidelines for dairy prices so they will change and this money crisis will never occur again.

I think that dairy farmers should not be paid low money beacause they use a lot of money to produce things like cheese, ice cream and yourghurt. they also use a lot of effort and strength. Who is it affecting? It affects them and their families because they waste money.

Put the prices the way the dairy farmers
Want it to be because it’s not fair to all those
Dairy farmers who have been working and producing milk

• What is the issue?
Supermarkets are selling cheaper milks, and not giving the farmers their rightful share of the money from milk.
• Who is it affecting?
It is affecting the farmers across Australia and soon other people from different countries that buy their milk.
• What is the government doing about this issue?
I don’t think the government is doing anything about this issue, but they really need to.
• What can the community do about this issue?
They could get rid of the milk that Coles and Woolworths make and only buy the milk that the real farmers make. So the farmers get their fair share.
• How do I feel about this issue?
In all honesty I think it’s quite ridiculous that the supermarkets are not giving the farmers the right amount of money for the making of the milk.
